Hair loss can take so much from a person - comfort, confidence, identity.
This Wig Drive exists for one simple reason:

To place crowns on heads that need them most.

Through Wig Spa Canada, we’re collecting and funding wigs that will be donated to patients supported through the Cross Cancer Institute in Alberta, Canada.

Where your support goes

Every contribution helps us provide wigs to cancer patients in treatment - whether that support looks like:

  • purchasing wigs for donation
  • accepting and restoring secondhand wigs
  • sanitizing + preparing wigs to meet hygiene standards
  • packaging wigs with care so each one feels like dignity - not a hand-me-down
  • Every wig is treated with care, intention, and respect.

Who receives the wigs?

Wigs from this drive are intended for patients supported through Cross Cancer Institute (Alberta) who are experiencing medically-related hair loss.

These wigs are donated specifically to help people access something that can feel out of reach during treatment - confidence, normalcy, and softness in a hard season.


Ways to support the Wig Drive

1) Donate a Wig (Secondhand Welcome)

Have a wig you no longer wear? Your pre-loved crown can become someone else’s comfort.

✅ We accept gently used wigs in wearable condition
✅ Synthetic and human hair welcome
✅ If the wig needs light work, we’ll do our best to restore it

2) Make a Small Donation (Any Amount Helps)

Not everyone has a wig to donate - and that’s okay.

You can contribute funds toward:

  • purchasing wigs for donation

Want to do something tangible and powerful?

You can sponsor a full wig for a patient.

This option covers the cost of purchasing and preparing a complete wig for donation- so someone can receive a crown they didn’t have to worry about or budget for.

Our Wig Hygiene Promise

Each donated or sponsored wig goes through a professional wig-safe preparation process, which may include:

  • detailed inspection
  • gentle cleansing (when needed)
  • professional sanitization designed for wig materials
  • brushing, reshaping + finish styling

 Every piece must meet our Wig Drive standard before it can be donated.


FAQ

Is my donation tax-deductible?

This Wig Drive is run through Wig Spa Canada as a community support initiative.
At this time, donations made through the website are not issued as charitable tax receipts.

Can I donate any type of wig?

We welcome most wigs as long as they are in wearable condition. If you’re unsure, send us a message - we’ll guide you kindly.

Can I donate money instead of a wig?

Yes! You can make a small donation or sponsor a full wig. Every contribution goes toward placing more wigs into the hands of patients who need them.

How will I know my support made a difference?

We’ll share Wig Drive updates, milestones, and donation counts through our social media and email community - while always respecting privacy and patient dignity.
