Hair loss can take so much from a person — comfort, confidence, identity, and the feeling of looking like yourself.
This Wig Drive exists for one simple reason:
To place crowns on heads that need them most.
Through Wig Spa Canada, we collect, restore, prepare, and donate wigs to support patients connected with the Cross Cancer Institute in Alberta, Canada.
Each wig is handled with care, intention, and respect — because this is about more than hair. It’s about dignity, softness, and helping someone feel a little more like themselves during a very difficult season.
2026 Wig Drive Update
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, the 2026 Wig Drive is now complete.
We are currently accepting wig donations for our 2027 Wig Drive.
If you have a gently used wig you no longer wear, your pre-loved crown can still make a beautiful difference for someone in the future.
Where Your Support Goes
Every contribution helps us provide wigs to cancer patients in treatment. Support may include:
- Purchasing wigs for donation
- Accepting and restoring secondhand wigs
- Sanitizing and preparing wigs to meet hygiene standards
- Brushing, reshaping, and finishing each wig
- Packaging wigs with care so they feel like dignity — not a hand-me-down
Every wig must meet our Wig Drive standard before it is donated.
Who Receives the Wigs?
Wigs from this drive are intended for patients supported through the Cross Cancer Institute in Alberta who are experiencing medically related hair loss.
The donated wigs stay with the Cross Cancer Institute’s wig library. Patients are able to borrow a wig for as long as they need it while going through treatment and growing their hair back.
Once the wig is no longer needed, it is returned to the library so it can continue helping other women for years to come.
These wigs are donated to help people access something that can feel out of reach during treatment — confidence, normalcy, and comfort.
Ways to Support the Wig Drive
1. Donate a Wig
Secondhand wigs are welcome
Have a wig you no longer wear? Your pre-loved crown can become someone else’s comfort.
We accept gently used wigs in wearable condition, including both synthetic and human hair wigs.
If the wig needs light work, we’ll do our best to refresh and restore it before donation.
How it works:
You can drop off your wig locally or mail it to us. We’ll take care of the rest.

2. Sponsor a Wig
Buy a wig for someone in need
Want to do something tangible and powerful?
You can sponsor a full wig for a patient.
This option helps cover the cost of purchasing, preparing, and donating a complete wig so someone can receive a crown they didn’t have to worry about or budget for.
3. Shop the Wig Vault
Secondhand wigs with a purpose
Our Wig Vault is our pre-loved wig collection. Each piece is inspected, refreshed, sanitized, and prepared to meet our hygiene standards.
When you purchase a Wig Vault piece, you’re not just buying a wig.
You’re also helping support the Wig Drive and fund future wig donations for patients in need.
Our Wig Hygiene Promise
Each donated or sponsored wig goes through a professional wig-safe preparation process, which may include:
- Detailed inspection
- Gentle cleansing when needed
- Professional sanitization designed for wig materials
- Brushing and detangling
- Reshaping and finish styling
- Final quality check before donation
Every piece must meet our Wig Drive standard before it is donated.

Is my donation tax-deductible?
This Wig Drive is run through Wig Spa Canada as a community support initiative.
At this time, donations made through the website are not issued as charitable tax receipts.
Can I donate any type of wig?
We welcome most wigs as long as they are in wearable condition.

Can I donate money instead of a wig?
Yes. You can make a small donation or sponsor a full wig.
