THE 3-STEP FACTORY RESET ROUTINE
STEP 1 — WASH
Factory Reset Wig Shampoo
Start fresh.
Factory Reset Wig Shampoo is designed to gently cleanse synthetic and human hair wigs and help remove:
• Product buildup
• Styling residue
• Excess oils transferred during wear
• Everyday grime
• Odours
• The coated feeling that can develop over time
How to Use:
- Fill a basin with cool or lukewarm water.
- Add a small amount of Factory Reset Wig Shampoo.
- Gently swish the water to disperse the shampoo.

Submerge the wig and allow it to soak for approximately 3–5 minutes.
- Gently work the shampoo through the hair as needed, paying extra attention to areas with buildup.
- Avoid aggressive rubbing, twisting, or scrubbing.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
For best results, follow with Factory Reset Conditioning Treatment.
Important: Factory Reset Wig Shampoo is designed for wig use only. It is not intended as a shampoo for the natural scalp or natural growing hair.
STEP 2 — RESET
Factory Reset Conditioning Treatment
This is where the reset happens.
Factory Reset Conditioning Treatment is designed to help improve slip, reduce friction, soften rough-feeling lengths and ends, and make the wig feel smoother and easier to manage.
How to Use:
- After washing, gently remove excess water from the wig.
- Apply Factory Reset Conditioning Treatment to clean, damp hair.
- Focus primarily on the mid-lengths and ends.

Leave on for approximately 10–15 minutes.
- Rinse thoroughly.
For wigs that are older, frequently worn, or rougher at the ends, you may leave the treatment on a little longer as needed.
Alternative Light Refresh:
For a lighter conditioning refresh, dilute a small amount of Factory Reset Conditioning Treatment into a basin of cool or lukewarm water.
Allow the wig to soak briefly, then rinse as needed.
STEP 3 — MAINTAIN
Factory Reset Detangling & Shine Mist
Maintain the results between washes.
Factory Reset Mist is designed to help maintain:

✔ A smoother, more polished finish
How to Use:
- Shake before use.
- Lightly mist onto dry or slightly damp hair.
- Focus mainly on the mid-lengths and ends.
- Gently brush, smooth, or reshape as needed.
A little goes a long way.
The Mist is intentionally designed to be used with a light hand. Applying too much product too often may lead to buildup over time.
WATER IS STILL YOUR WIG’S FRIEND
Factory Reset Mist works best as part of a maintenance routine alongside water — not necessarily as a replacement for it.
For regular refreshing and reshaping, a light water mist can help reactivate the style and encourage the fibres back into place.
You may find that your wig responds best to:
• Factory Reset Mist when extra slip, shine, or friction control is needed
• A light water mist on alternate days
• Less product rather than more
For many wigs, light and consistent care works better than heavy application.
EVENING WIG CARE TIP
One of our favourite ways to use Factory Reset Mist is at the end of the day.
After removing your wig:
- Lightly mist the mid-lengths and ends as needed.
- Gently smooth or brush through.
- Reshape the hair.
- Allow the wig to rest and air dry overnight.
This gives the product time to settle into your wig-care routine without repeatedly layering more product throughout the day.
CURL & WAVE TIP
If your wig has curls or waves:
- Lightly mist as needed.
- Gently twist or shape sections back into their natural curl pattern.

Allow the wig to air dry untouched.
- Once completely dry, gently separate and style.
Avoid repeatedly brushing or touching curls while they are drying.
Sometimes the best thing you can do is reshape the curl — and then leave it alone.
WIG SPA PRO TIP FOR OLDER WIGS
For older, frequently worn, or rough-feeling wigs:
- Apply Factory Reset Conditioning Treatment.
- While the treatment is in the hair, gently smooth the lengths and ends with an appropriate wig brush, wide wig brush, soft bristle brush, or smoothing brush.
- Work carefully and avoid aggressive pulling.
- Allow the treatment to sit.
- Rinse thoroughly.
This can help improve product distribution and refine the feel of rougher areas.
HEAT-SAFE SYNTHETIC WIG TIP
For compatible heat-safe synthetic fibres, careful heat can sometimes help further smooth and refine worn areas after the wig is fully dry.
Depending on the fibre and manufacturer guidelines, you may lightly smooth the ends using appropriate low-to-moderate heat.
As a general Wig Spa guideline, we often work within approximately:
320–360°F maximum
However:
✔ Always follow the manufacturer’s heat instructions for your specific wig
✔ Test a small hidden section first
✔ Start lower whenever possible
✔ Never assume every synthetic fibre is heat safe
Heat and light steam can help smooth the appearance of compatible synthetic fibres, but correct temperature matters.
For non-heat-safe fibres, focus on gentle washing, conditioning, smoothing, reshaping, and air drying instead.

For human hair wigs, apply conditioning and maintenance products primarily through the mid-lengths and ends as needed.
Every wig is different. Adjust product amount and frequency based on the wig’s fibre, age, wear pattern, density, and condition.
LIGHTWEIGHT CARE MATTERS
More product is not always better.
The Factory Reset System is designed around a simple philosophy:
Use what the wig needs — not as much as the bottle will give you.
For best results:
• Start with a small amount
• Focus on areas that need it most
• Avoid repeatedly saturating the wig
• Use water regularly for reshaping and refreshing
• Allow the wig to dry fully before deciding whether more product is needed
Overuse of any conditioning or shine product may eventually contribute to buildup.
